Reverend Dr Gomba Fortune Oyor was born on July 16, 1959. He was from Ogale in Eleme local government area of Rivers State, and was the third of seven children, six boys and one girl. He was the General Overseer of the Spring of Freedom Christian Center and President of God-Will-Do-It Ministries, headquartered in Ibadan. He was married and blessed with four sons.

In 1974, he attended Agbonchia Primary School and finished at Ogale Primary School. He attended Stella Maris College, Port Harcourt, from 1974 to 1979. He received his Diploma and Bachelor’s degree in Secretarial Administration from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, from 1982 to 1987. His Masters and PhD were in Community Development from the University of Ibadan.
